Live Worship Options

We have in person worship in our Sanctuary at 10:30 each Sunday. We are following a strict adherence to CDC rules and guidelines, as well as local rules and guidelines. If you are not comfortable being in person, there are live streaming options as well:

Our Sunday worship service is streamed live and is available using either Facebook Live or our web site. If you are a Facebook user we recommend using that option as it allows you to interact with other attendees via entering and reading comments.

If you are not a Facebook user then use our website's live stream link below. It actually uses the same Facebook video stream but you do not need to be a Facebook user. You can view the video right here on our website.

Facebook Users: Log onto your Facebook account and search for Poolesville Presbyterian to access the live stream. If you "Like" our Facebook page you will get automatic notifications of the live broadcast.

I don't use Facebook: Click this link and a new browser tab/window will be opened where you can view the live stream.

Enjoy Our Joyful Virtual Song

"Christ is Risen! Shout Hosanna!" Members of our church lifted their voices virtually on Easter morning to the familiar "Ode to Joy" tune written by Ludwig van Beethoven, who celebrates his 250th birthday later this year. While the composer's life was riddled with hardship, his belief in joy and the resilience of the human spirit is easily heard and felt in this iconic tune that originates from his Ninth Symphony.

We shared the hymn verses and a musical accompaniment in advance with whomever wanted to participate. We asked them to record their voices singing the song and then send their recording to our magical Music Director, Monica Daly. She tied them all together into a single voice that was played during our virtual Easter service and you can listen to now.

This is the combined virtual voices of all singing "Ode to Joy" - click to listen

Welcome to Poolesville Presbyterian Church

We may be small, but we're huge at heart

Church is a place to find comfort, wrestle with the big questions, to make a difference, to encounter the presence of God.

Poolesville Presbyterian Church is in the business of making disciples of Jesus Christ. Discipleship is a lifelong process so we welcome children, youth, adults, and the elderly alike. On Sundays we worship together and hold Sunday School.

Throughout the week we gather for various reasons: to meet at our Women's Group, to assist at the local thrift shop, to rehearse choir, and to care for those in need. PPC is a small church with a lot going on. We treasure the human touch and we also embrace technology.

Our historic facilities are not large or impressive, but we do a lot with what we have. We believe that above all else, we are called to be Jesus' hands and feet in a broken world. We are always growing in faith, both as individuals and as a community. Won't you join us? May God's peace rest upon you. Shalom!

I created a new diorama each week from Holy Week through the end July of 2020 when we started outdoor worship services. I like to think outside the box, but little did I know I would use my collection of art objects to create inside a box!

It's been a joy to work with the other session members as we navigated our way through the challenges of the pandemic.
